Two Months

I have seemed to have lost all sense of time. It has only been two short months that we have been home together as a family of three. It feel as if this is how it has always been and always should be. So much has changed in just two months. Dreams have been realized and our hearts are full.

I love how Henry is looking at us wondering what we are looking at! He will have to get used to us taking one armed photos!

Thank You Grandma and Grandpa

Dear Grandma and Grandpa,
Thank You for my sweet Minnesota Twins stool for my sink. I love it! I can climb up it and reach things on the counter. My tooth brush, tooth paste and other things mommy leaves there have never been so handy. When mommy is busy folding laundry or cleaning in my room I like to play with toys until she is just distracted enough so I can slip down the hall unnoticed. I then climb right up my stool and start slapping the counter. I sometimes forget that it draws attention to me and she always finds me. But I still have a good time and I am so glad that there is a sink in my room and that I have a great way to access it. If I am able to get onto my very tippy toes I am able to turn on the lights! I had no idea it would be so fun. Mommy keeps telling Daddy that they need to put it away for a while, but I don't think that they will actually follow through with it.
Love, Henry

Playdate with Alex

Henry had a play date with his friend Alex on Saturday. Alex is only three weeks older than Henry. When Alex was born we new that our future child would be born around the same time. We have loved watching Alex grow up and enjoyed seeing each new stage he was at. Alex is a funny little guy and we had a blast watching the boys play together! Henry watched Alex walking and we saw a increase in Henry's walking that night! He now will take 5-7 steps in the direction that he wants to go. He has to try to keep up with Alex!
Alex LOVED the ball popper!! It was just so exciting! Alex could hardly contain himself!!!!
Henry showing off some of his standing skills
The boys did a lot of running and crawling up and down the hall. Alex would see Henry getting closer and he would pick up his speed a little bit.

So Close

We are so close to so many things. Here are just a few
*Henry is so close to walking. He will take three or four steps in a row. He is standing by himself soooo much more. He can also stand up in the middle of the room not holding onto anything!
*He is so close to having his first molar breaking through! The drooling is fantastic.
*We are so close to the weekend!!!!!
*We are so close to two full days with Daddy!!!!! We love it when Daddy is around all day!
*We are so close to the Olympics starting!!! We are looking forward to watching the opening ceremony tonight. We are excited to cheer for the USA Team and the South Korean Team! Call me sentimental, but I always think about how emotional it is for the players to experience the opening and closing ceremony's after they have worked so hard to get there.
*We are close to Henry and Mommy going to Grandma and Grandpa's for an overnight with out Daddy coming!! Yikes!!(I know we will be fine) We are excited to go Monday and spend time with Henry's Great-Grandparents.
*We are also so close to a play date tomorrow. We are excited to have friends over!

We hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Trains

Last weekend was a very busy weekend. We had Henry's first haircut, his baptism and on Saturday when his cousins were in town we also visited the Train Museum. The Train Museum is in St.Paul at Bandanna Square. It is a little confusing to find but we managed to pull it off. Henry really enjoyed himself there. He loved watching all the trains go by and loved being able to play at the kid train tables. My nephew Hunter who is three truly had the time of his life. When we walked in he whispered to his mom "I am just so very excited!" It was so fun to see him study and watch all of the trains. We had taken Hunter here when he was about 8 months old, I know he enjoyed the experience a little more this time. We closed the place down and there were a few tears when we left. But he is looking forward to going back!
I love how Hunter is so serious and studying the trains.

First Hair Cut

Henry had his first haircut last weekend. He did not need a big hair cut, just to be cleaned up a little bit. I for some reason was a little nervous about getting it done so we waited until Saturday when Jason could go with us. Henry is a BUSY boy, he literally never stops moving. So I was imagining having to hold a screaming and wiggling child. We went to a kids hair cut place in a hope that they would be patient with us. They had the cutest little chairs that we strapped him into and each station had its own TV with cartoon's playing. He just sat there patiently as she cut his air. He yet again has amazed us. We are also quite happy with the results!

Henry's Baptism

We were very excited and proud today to have Henry's Baptism. All of our family was able to come and celebrate this special day with us. It was a day that we celebrated with Henry and a day that we imagined for a long time. It feels as though the circle has been completed and it is some how more official.

I love this picture of Henry and Brody! It looks like they are best buddies in the middle of a conversation.

The Great Pacifier Hunt

So Wednesday morning when Henry made his early morning migration into our room I thought that all was well and it was just another early morning. He and Jason were cuddling (I secretly was going "YES!!!!! I get to doze this time!!!!") when the unthinkable happened. The pacifier was lost!!! We don't know how it happened, and no one is pointing any fingers. (Er, I think it was daddy's fault) But we lost it, and in the dark could not find it. I thought no problem I will grab my handy backup pacifier and all will be well. GASP!!!!! It was not there and I could not find it. I knew there would be one in the crib. I headed in there, Jason had Henry so I was the errand girl. None were to be found in the crib. I know we own at least 10 pacifiers. Where were they?!?!?!?! I found one under his crib and the crisis was averted. That morning Henry and I went on a adventure finding all of his missing pacifiers.

Helping me out by pointing this one out

This is where extras are kept in his room.
(Long story about how Daddy came home from Target with a pink pacifier the day after we arrived home. He really wanted the yellow one that was in the two pack)

This is where the back up pacifier is suposed to ALWAYS be.
