Birthday Marathon

Henry had a bit of a birthday marathon this year! Between Christmas celebrations and his birthday he literally opened gifts for 6 straight days.  We got to just keep on celebrating our awesome 5 year old!

Henry wanted Hot Wheels and a punch bowl.  Why we don't know but we thought it was pretty funny! We made punch in it on Christmas day and it turns out Henry does not like punch! hee hee hee

Home again..

We are home again after a week of Birthday and Christmas celebrations.  Instead of unpacking we did the most important things first.  We made a snowman.

4 Years Ago

Four years ago today we held our sweet Henry boy for the first time.  Life would never be the same.  There are no words to describe the feeling. 

We blogged about the day here and it is still sureal to read about it.

Christmas Program

Henry had his preschool Christmas program Friday night. He was so nervous all week and was so worried about standing in front of all the people.  His teacher is so in tune to Henry and knows exactly how to support him.  After I picked him up on Friday morning I had a awesome feeling that he was going to be able to do it, before that I thought it was about a 50/50 chance.  Jason dropped him off at the classroom Friday night and said he ran right in and was excited to see his buddies.  Henry bravely walked out with his class, he grabbed the arm of the little girl next him for a moment and I could see him get strength from her. I was so proud of him and had tears in my eyes to see him standing up there! He stayed up there the entire time and he kept his eyes on his teacher the length of the program.  At the end he saw us and flashed a huge smile and quick wave.  He told me afterwords that his heart was nervous but it was still a joyful heart.  This was a Christmas Miracle!!

Christmas Lights

We have gone out a couple times just driving around looking at Christmas lights with the kids in their pj's.  It is so fun the hear the joy and excitement in their voices as we see each new house.  We happened upon a mega display and I had to go back last night with my camera because it is just so crazy! This picture does not even begin to do it justice!

 

First Big Snow

We had our first big snowfall last week and it pretty much has been freezing and snowing ever since.  Henry and Claire were of course so excited to get out and play in it! It was so cool as I was taking the first picture of Henry two deer ran across the street between the houses.  I was only able to get a pic of one of them because it happened so fast but we all were able to see them.

9 Years

Nine years ago today I married my best friend.  He can make me laugh like no other and is the rock that keeps us grounded.  I am so lucky I found my soul mate and the perfect father for our children. 

 

Next year hopefully there will be palm trees and a beach in the background!
