Group Hug!
We were at my grandma and grandpa's house when Brody went in for a hug. Henry not to be out done decided that he needed one as well. Hunter decided that he might as well get in the mix and make it one big group hug. (It looks as though Henry might also be hugging Brody's eye. Poor guy.)

The Cabin
We just got back from a long weekend at a friends cabin. We had a fabulous time. There were seven adults and three two year olds and no one had a meltdown, including the adults! The kids were in heaven getting to see each other everyday and they played, played, played. We had great food while we were up there and I am coming back with some yummy new recipes. We enjoyed relaxing and spending time with a great group of friends!

Zoo Adventure
My friend Beth summed up our trip to the zoo last Wednesday perfectly. I still am not quite sure what to say about the morning other than it was a bit crazy and surreal.
"We had a fun and exciting trip to the zoo on Wednesday. We went first thing in the morning and a lot of the animals were really active and playful. It also wasn't crowded right away so the kids got a front row view of all of the action. We got a little more action than we intended when at one point we were rushed into a building because a wolf had escaped in the zoo. We didn't know it at the time but we were much too close to him! Luckily no one (except for little wolfie) was hurt in the ordeal."

Care Package #2
We just heard the awesome news that some friends of ours received their travel call this morning!!! We are so excited that they are going to meet their daughter soon and become a family of four!!! They have had a long journey and I am so thankful that they have made it and soon all of their waiting will be over. They are also bringing our second care package over for little Miss Claire! Due to the longer wait times we are now allowed to send more than two care packages. It kind of takes the pressure off to send the 'perfect' care package. I always struggled with what to send, how do you say everything you want to say in one little gallon sized bag.
I am really excited about sending the book. It is one of those books that you can record your voice while you read it. It is cool to think that she will be hearing our voices in just a few weeks! Henry really enjoyed the book as well. I think he may have been a little bummed to see it go. On the first page we all said I love you including Henry. It is so cute to hear his little voice telling Claire "Love you!" I also had a friend who had translated this book into Korean so I taped the translation onto each page so Claire's foster family can read in Korean too.

Dear Blogger-
I would like at some point to be able to start commenting on other peoples blogs again. This is starting to get a wee bit old. If you could just go ahead and fix your imaginary problem that would be great.
Thanks, Heidi

Segways
What??? No picture of Henry??? Does this mean that Jason and Heidi actually went on a date???? Why yes it does!! Henry had a great time at home with Grandma and Grandpa while Jason and I went out on a date for the first time since... hmmm... well it had been a VERY long time. It is something we need to do more often before Claire comes home.
Jason and I had received a gift certificate for a segway tour last summer and we finally got around to using it. We met some friends for the tour and had a great time!! I will admit that I was kind of nervous about falling off but it really is not too difficult. The key is to not over think it. You just need to stand up straight and the segway will balance itself. The key to moving forward is shifting your weight toward your toes and the balls of your feet. To stop you shift your weight to your heals. When I first got on I of course was super wobbly and scared but they did a great job of teaching you how to do it and do it safely. There was only one minor incident wear I may have had trouble stopping going down a hill. Opps.... I may have over thought it a bit.... or not thought it enough..... I am not sure what happened, the good news is I beat the McLains. Whew.

I would HIGHLY recommend doing this to anyone who has an opportunity to do so. This was an awesome gift and it was something that I never would have dreamed of doing but absolutely loved. I am so glad that we did it and we learned a ton about the waterfront of Minneapolis. They have two other tours that we also want to check out sometime.
