Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treating was a great success! Henry had an awesome time and really understood it this year.  I think our practice run on Saturday really helped. We had a great little posse to to trick or treat with.  Henry figured out that if you were the first one to get your candy and just stood there watching them hand it out to the rest of the kids that eventually they might ask you if you want another one.  His plan worked brilliantly even though his parents kept telling him and the people that one was enough.  Jason and I had a really fun time seeing him get so into it and we had great weather!

Pumpkin Time

How to Carve a pumpkin Henry style
Step One: Find a pumpkin that makes you squeal
Step 2: Talk it over with dad and make mom clean it out
Step 3: Make sure to check her work
Step 4: Pretend it is a puzzle
Step 5: Keep an eye on dads work too. Feel free to stick your tongue out, it really seems to help
Step 6: Just as mom snaps the picture of you push down the lid and then look panicked
Step 7: Make mom really nervous by having dad put the candles in with you sitting right there

The Practice Round

We had a Trick or Treating practice round this morning. Henry met two of his little puppy friends at our local hole in the wall strip mall for Trick or Treating at some of the stores.  They actually did a really nice job putting it on and it was a perfect low key way for our little ones to trick or treat.
Of course it was impossible to get a picture of the three of them but we will consider it a success that we can see all of their faces.

No Tears!

This week was the first week that there were no tears when I left Henry at ECFE!!!! I am so happy that we have finally gotten to this place! The last couple of weeks he had been sad when I left but he was able to calm himself down after a minute or two.  When I would come back he was always happy and playing so I knew that we were close but just not quite there yet.  This week he was happy as a clam when I left him at the snack table and barely even acknowledged me when I came back.  It was a lot of hard work for Henry but he did it and I am so proud!

Making Waffles

Why are these guys so happy???
Because they are so excited about their new waffle maker.  No more belgian waffles for us, we have an old school waffle maker now.  My mom and dad have an ancient waffle maker that makes the thin super yummy waffles and Jason has been coveting it for years.  In the stores now all you see are the belgian waffle makers.  My mom found one similar to theirs and she gave it to Jason as a early birthday present.  He is thrilled and we have been enjoying our yummy waffles!

Care Package #6

My mom and I wasted no time shopping for care package #6! We want to get it to our agency soon so that she can hopefully receive it right before Christmas at her 16 month check up.  It was fun shopping for more cute little girl clothes!
I am in love with the little penguin on these jammies! So cute!
Henry was "helping" put the jammies into one the sippy cups.  Our little gallon zip lock will have zero empty airspace!

New Pictures!

We were surprised with new pictures of Claire today! Another surprise is that she received her last care package already! We did not expect her to receive it until December so it was a fun surprise to see her with it already.  That means that we get to shop for another care package and get it to the agency so she can get another one at Christmas.
This mama needed these pictures this week.
Seeing this sweet little face makes all of the waiting bearable.

Two Henry's

We had the awesome opportunity to meet another little Henry who is only two day's older than our Henry.   They were two little pea's in a pod! They were so cute and referred to each other as "Two Henry."  Henry was not quite sure what to think when we first met Henry and was a little shy.  Once he warmed up he had a blast.  They had fun playing and the moms had fun chatting!
As Henry was falling asleep for his nap all I could hear was "Where two Henry go?" "Play two Henry more."

Choo Choo Heaven

Last week our buddy Alex's daycare was closed for a couple days so he got to come and hang out with us.  We loved having him over and they had so much fun playing! We went to a cool little train store for the morning and they were in heaven.  They spent a hour and a half blissfully navigating the rails.

Apple Orchard

We went to the apple orchard yesterday with Grandma Susie and John. I realized looking through the pictures that there are no pictures with any apples. It is funny because we did see apples and eat some but you will just have to trust us! I literally took 20 pictures at these hay bails and these are the best two. Henry was way to busy exploring to look at the camera.

Henry was very brave and rode the pony's.  When we first asked him if he would like to ride them the answer was a very quick and definite NO.  After watching for a few rounds he and Grandma decided that he might like to ride if he could ride on a brown horse.
A death grip on the saddle and Grandma hanging on tight!
This picture is so dark but I had to share in any way.  He was so funny, he was trying so hard not to smile.  Every time they came around we would get this look from him.

It was a beautiful day at the orchard!
Feeding his friend the goat
Again with the trying really hard not to smile.  He loved riding in the little train and was so proud that he was able to be a big kid and ride by himself.  I offered to ride with him and Grandma offered to ride but he told us "Henny ride self." And he did!
