Easter Egg Hunt

We decided to brave the annual Easter Egg hunt at our local community center again this year.  We did it two years ago but last year was way to cold to venture out.  It is crazy to look back and see how little Henry, Bailey and Alex were!  It was another chilly morning and all of the kiddos were a wee bit chilly but still a fun morning with friends.
Bailey, Henry, Jack and Alex
Henry clearly has his game face on and is ready to get down to business.

He and Bailey were getting a game plan.
Weston chose to doze through the festivities.
Going straight for the suckers!

I asked for a smile and I received a huge shiver! Poor guy!

Henry's favorite was the free sub they handed out at the end.
Seriously though.... How cute and little were they?!?!

Ellie's Hockey Game

Our niece Ellie is playing in a 3 on 3 hockey league this spring.  We had a chance to watch her last weekend and it is a really fun and fast moving game.  She switched positions and is playing goalie so it has been fun to watch with a different perspective.

Henry enjoyed watching upside down.  Oh... Henry.

19 Month Update

Hooray!! EP's are being processed again!!

I just want to squeeze her!
The wispy curls are just too cute!
In the update we received one of the things it mentions is that Claire helps put things away and imitates doing housework.  I am thinking that if she just plays behind Henry she could 'play' clean up.    She is also up to 21 pounds 8 ounces and 32.6 inches long.  I am so thankful that Eastern is doing such a great job of sending updates and photos during this wait.  It has made the wait so much more bearable when you know that you will get a little ray of sunshine in your inbox once a month! I love, love, love seeing her smile!!!

A Beautiful Day!

We spent the morning yesterday outside enjoying the beautiful day! It was absolutely gorgeous!! I remember last march we had snowy snowy days and this year we hit 80 degrees! Henry out grew his snow pants in January and I tracked down a bigger pair so that for the next big snow fall he would be all set for playing.  We are still waiting for that big snowfall but I have to be honest, I really don't mind that it never came.  Now that all three of us are healthy again we are loving all of the time outside!!!  Come on spring! We are one more season closer to Miss C coming home!

Cradle Refresher

A couple months ago I spotted my old doll cradle in the rafters of my mom and dad garage.  We pulled it down and it is exactly as I remembered it.  My Uncle Bob made it for me and my Auntie Linda painted it.  I believe that I may have added the fancy sticker embellishments but I don't quite remember! It was clearly a well loved little cradle and was in need of a refresher.  This was one of the projects that I wanted to wait until we knew Claire was closer to coming home to do.  Last Monday when we hear the amazing news that EP's were submitted I made a trip to the craft store and got down to business.

I saved this on the bottom of the cradle.

Grandma Connie is going to make Claire a little quilt for her cradle!

Adoption Celebration

This morning we went to our agency adoption celebration and had a really great time!  It celebrates all different adoptions both domestic and international.  When we arrived we were given a little passport that you received stamps in for every area that you visited.  It was really a cute idea and Henry loved bringing his passport to be stamped with different animals! I can't wait for his real passport to be stamped in Korea!!!
Fishing in the domestic/MN adoption booth

He scored a cool light up toy!

He learned how to make Ethiopian coffee.  It was a very interesting process to watch.  This was also probably one of Henry's favorite activities of the day.

He did not have to be asked twice to smell the beans.

This guy LOVED the drumming area of the Korea booth!

A Big Deal

We had a really big deal happen in our house at nap time today.  Henry laid down in his bed and fell asleep on his own for the first time in 6 months!!!!! Since we started school we have had to lay down on the floor next to Henry's bed in order for him to be able to fall asleep.  We have had our share of sleep struggles so this is a HUGE step for Henry!!!! It was completely his own idea and I am so proud of him.  Who knows what will happen tomorrow but he is so proud of himself today and that makes me happy.
I had to peek in and take his picture!

Referral-versary

One year ago today we received the call that we had a daughter waiting for us in South Korea. It was a very happy day! We are one year and one fridge full of pictures closer to bringing this red throne rocking little lady home.
Happy Referral-versary sweet Claire BoRae!

We are so relieved and happy to share that our agency and several others are reporting that they have been told that the Ministry will resume accepting EP's on Monday March 5th.  This is the answered prayer of so many! We will not be in the first couple batches but I am so excited for several friends and all of the waiters ahead of us.  They have been holding their breath and have waited a LONG time for this day! It also means that we are getting closer!!!
